Ants vs. Termites
How do you tell them apart?

Ants
Shape
Three body segments pinched at the neck and waist
Antennae
Elbow-shaped and divided into segments
Wings
Two pairs, the front wings larger than rear wings

Termites
Shape
Two body segments with similar thickness
Antennae
Straight, thin, hair-like
Wings
Two pairs, equal in size
Ants and termites both come in a variety of colors, so it’s best not to use color as the defining trait to determine what you’re dealing with. The easiest way is to simply count how many body segments you can identify, as this is a clear giveaway.
